Underwater Kinetics
I just purchased a submarine diving Blue Tang knife blade Kinetics and said 420 instead of hydralloy ss. Fake?
I bought the knife of a famous dive shop in Austin, TX and I'm out the door with the box and paperwork. 420ss Blade said instead of "H" for hydralloy and shape of the blade is different than anything I can find online or underwater kinetics webpage. This does not like a knife UK, but may be a former model who has been abandoned. In any 420ss rate is not much of a steel blade, but for diving knives rust resistance is the most important stuff and 420 is more resistant to rust than many others out there. However, Hydralloy is virtually impervious to rust. If I were you I'd return the knife and get the new version Hydralloy. If anything, it will resist to rust better, especially if you dive in salt water.
