How much water should flow from relief valve on the hot water tank?
I have a water tank Electric hot only a year and I noticed all ist running time is this normal or should I saw him. I live in the Sydney area.
Most people here are correct, at one point. If your machine is more than a year at all, then the relief valve is no longer under warranty. Unless your appliance warranty period much longer than the standard unit, you will have a 6 year warranty on the tank, and a security year parts, which include thermostats, elements and the safety valve. Fortunately, this is not a difficult thing to change if you have a minimum of tools and plumbing skills. It only requires water pressure to stop for a while draining some water if it does not come from the hole when you fire take the old valve and putting a new valve with Teflon tape to threads. You can then put water back on and drain the tank heater to get rid of any air trapped in the upper part.
